Fitness made fun for kids and teens

Our Little Ninjas and Teen Varsity programs focus on developing a love for movement and fitness that will serve them for a lifetime. We use games, drills and skill sessions to help them develop speed, strength, coordination and safe movement patterns. We work with kids on sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, listening skills, self-discipline and manners. These are all skills that will help kids become successful later in life. As their bodies get more fit and their abilities expand, children generally become more physically active and less self-conscious in any given situation. Whether your child is an athlete or not, our program will help them become the best version of themselves.

Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weightlifting, body weight movements, running, jumping rope and more. It is intended to get kids moving in new and challenging ways, all while having a ton of fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Studies also show improved neurological function in active kids. Kids brains are like little sponges, itching to make neurological connections and adaptations. These connections in the brain are made in response to stimuli. The more kids can be exposed to when they are young, the more connections and capacities they develop and retain for the rest of their lives. In all of our activities safety is our paramount concern; good form and proper technique are always stressed while practicing these movements and skills.

AKP Ninja Weightlifting is an add-on class focusing on the olympic weightlifting moves of Snatch and Clean and Jerk. In this 30 minute class the athletes work on specific skills and drills that will enable them to compete in sanctioned USA weightlifting meets if they so desire. As in all of our programs safety and fun are our primary concern and we program accordingly.

Little Ninjas Class is for ages 4-11. Teen Varsity is 12-18. Weightlifting class is open to all ages based on coaches evaluation.  Sport Specific strength and skill personal training is available.
